difference between I.T and computer science



There is a question oftenly asked by the students who have passed there second year exams and want to move on their journey of study. I.T and Computer Science are two programmes which are offered by many colleges and universities,  But the students are not able to understand the difference between I.T and computer science. so, this blog is for those students who have doubts like this.
Computer Science is a popular course in the field on engineering. In computer science we create programming and applications. In this field we study the theory and coding behind the programming or Applications.Its all about algorithm system and have pure mathematics which include hardware and software. Computer Science in short C.S has the variety of topics which relates to the computation like analysis of algorithm, programming languages, programming design softwares and computer hardwares.
But on the other hand, Information technology (I.T) is a business oriented course. I.T engineers creates and develop new computer technologies. I.T engineers develop the software and the better version of any instruments. They try to make something new. For example we have a calculator and in which we see the role of computer science and Information technology. first of all are talking about CS. In calculator there are many buttons which performs specific tasks like addition, substraction, dividation , multiplication and many more. So programming and coding behind these tasks are done by computer science engineers. but on the other hand design the calculator, distribute the calculator, manage and regulate the calculator, update and take it in new version. These all tasks are done by Information technology engineers.


Now, we are talking about the courses which are taught by in this programmes. So there are many subjects which are same in both programmes . but its not mean that these programmes are same. There are many topics which are include in Computer science but not in Information technology. 
Now we are talking about the scope of  CS and I.T. The job scope of these  two programmes are too much. but in cooperative sectors  the scope of CS is more than I.T. and in private sectors the scope of I.T is more than Computer Science. So don't be confused about difference between I.T and computer science and start your journey of study in your favourite field. I hope you understand the difference between I.T and Computer science.
